Buckle up Bifolds Security
Ever asked the question, how secure are bifolding doors? Are they still as secure as composite doors or French doors with them being all glass? Some customers may assume that because bifolds are floor to ceiling glass they are less secure, maybe the glass could be inviting for intruders? Or the glass could be easily breakable?
The answer to the above is in fact that bifolding doors couldn’t be any more secure if they tried. The reason for this… The glass provided is toughened on the inside as well as the outside. Double glazing makes it far from easy to break from the outside.
So, to answer the question regarding intruders? Well.. For an intruder to break inside they would have to use the correct tools and they would be faced with a huge obstacle of lifting a whole pane of glass which wouldn’t go unnoticed.
Plus, the glass would have to be uprooted from its mechanism which is a rather technical process.
